U2 Promise 'Glastonbury On Steroids' PerformanceApril 28, 2011
U2 have promised that their headline slot at this year's Glastonbury festival will be "very un-Glastonbury".
The Irish band will top the bill on the Pyramid Stage on the opening night of the event, which runs from June 24-26. They pulled out of last year's festival after Bono injured his back. Bassist Adam Clayton told Q magazine their performance would be like "Glastonbury on steroids". "It's very un-Glastonbury to have a big production, but we will be sneaking a few things in through the back gate which will hopefully make the experience a little more like Glastonbury on steroids," he said. "We're stretching the levels of what can be done. We hope to create a mind blowing experience that reacts well with all the other substances involved." Beyonce and Coldplay will also headline this year's bash. Tickets have already sold out. (by Jason Gregory) See also: U2's Spider-Man Musical Revamp Details Revealed (19.04.2011)
