Bob Dylan Bumrushed In BrazilMarch 11, 2008
The normally impenetrable Bob Dylan was shocked into speech after a Brazilian fan bumrushed him on stage on Thursday night.
A young woman jumped up onto the stage in Sao Paulo, rushed over to Bob and kissed and hugged him. She was in the process of trying to releive the veteran singer of his Cordoba hat when bouncers bundled her off. An audience member reports, “It was all over in a matter of seconds. He was singing either Thunder On The Mountain or Blowin’ In The Wind.” We can understand the confusion - it’s often hard to tell what song Dylan’s singing when he performs live now. But Dylan did break with tradition at the end of his encore when he actually interacted with the audience by telling them he wanted to see the young lady again so he could give her his hat.
