The Enemy To Collaborate With The Reverend Jon McClureApril 7, 2008
The Enemy’s frontman Tom Clarke has revealed that the band are in talks to collaborate on new material with Reverend and the Makers singer Jon McClure.
Clarke said he felt that he and McClure were on “very similar wavelengths” when it comes to British society. "I've been at home before and Jon's just rung me up and we've basically just sat there and said what a stage the country is in sometimes,” Clarke told BBC Newsbeat. "Jon is not afraid to say what he thinks is up and that's very rare,” he added. Clarke admitted that the only constraint against collaborating so far had been the band’s schedules. "Yeah I'd love to and I know he's up for it too but both of our schedules are so full at the moment it's been hell trying to organise it." The Enemy closed their UK tour in emphatic style at the weekend with a two night residency at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry – the home of Coventry City Football Club. As well as playing tracks of their number one debut album ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’, the band also played new track, ‘Sing When You’re In Love, Sing When You’re Out Of Love’.
