Estelle Replaces Gnarls Barkley On Jools HollandApril 1, 2008
Estelle will replace Gnarls Barkley on the first ever live edition of Later... with Jools Holland on Wednesday (April 2nd).
As previously reported, Gnarls Barkley have been forced to cancel a visit to the UK because of family illness. Estelle will join Adele, Black Kids and James Taylor on the show – which airs at 10pm. Gnarls Barkley had also been due to perform at 229 in London on Thursday (April 3rd) but the gig has now been postponed. A statement from their record company said: "Cee-Lo Green decided at short notice to remain in the States alongside his wife and children, and is thus now unable to travel to the UK as scheduled." Both Estelle and Gnarls Barkley released their new albums, ‘Shine’ and ‘The Odd Couple’, on Monday. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Leona Lewis And Estelle Triumph At Mobo Awards (16.10.2008)
