The Strokes are set to play a one-off gig at New York's Madison Square Garden on April 1.

Singer Julian Casablancas confirmed details about the show in a post on Twitter.

“New York April 1st. Madison Square Garden,” he wrote. “On sale to public February 25th. See you there!”

The gig will precede LCD Soundsystem's last ever show at the same venue on April 2.

The Strokes are set to release their new album 'Angles' on March 21 in the UK and 22 in the US. The album is the follow-up to 2006's 'First Impressions Of Earth' and was self-produced by the band.
