Whitesnake have announced details of a full UK tour, set to take place next summer.

The band will play a total six shows throughout the UK starting at Newcastle's City Hall on Monday 13, concluding at London's Hammersmith Apollo on June 20.

The tour will be in support of their new album due out in March.

Tickets go on sale on Friday (December 17) at 9am priced at £38.50.

Whitesnake's 2011 UK tour dates are:

• Glasgow, Clyde Auditorium - 14
• Wolverhampton, Civic Hall - 16
• Manchester, Apollo - 17
• Bournemouth, Bic – 19
• London, Hammersmith Apollo - 20
