Dr Dre Says New Album 'Detox' Will Be His Last

November 23, 2010
Dr Dre Says New Album 'Detox' Will Be His LastDr Dre has announced that his forthcoming album 'Detox' will be his last.

The rapper and renowned producer has made it clear that after the album's release in February he will focus on finding new undiscovered talent, leaving the rap game to the young stars.

"As far as me going into the mic booth, that s*it is over. I'm getting older… I'm always going to talent-scout and try to find new artists to work with. But, yeah, that's it," Dr Dre told XXL magazine.

He added: "New artists… [can] say some of the things I won't say. It's been a little tussle in that area also, just because of age and being able to identify with the younger audience."

Meanwhile, Dr Dre's new album will be released early next year featuring Eminem, La Roux, Snoop Dogg, The Game and Akon.
