Manic Street Preachers have been forced to cancel their gig in Birmingham tonight (October 26).

The group were due to play the Academy, but are no longer able to appear due to illness.

“I would like to personally apologise for the situation tonight,” singer James Dean Bradfield said.

“Nothing makes us feel worse than having to postpone a show especially since we always receive a great reaction in Birmingham. The audience there have always been loyal to us.”

The rescheduled show will now take place on December 14.

All tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date. If necessary, refunds are also available from point if purchase.
