Manic Street Preachers (also known as the Manics) are an alternative rock band from Blackwood, Wales, formed in 1986. They are James Dean Bradfield (vocals, guitars), Nicky Wire (bass, occasional vocals) and Sean Moore (drums, backing vocals, occasional trumpet). Manic Street Preachers, Metronomy, Slash Join Oxegen Festival 2011 Line-UpApril 19, 2011 Manic Street Preachers, Metronomy and Slash have been added to the line-up for this year's Oxegen festival in Ireland. Coldplay, The Strokes, Black Eyed Peas, The National, The Script, Tinie Tempah and Paolo Nutini will all play at the event, which takes place at Punchestown Racecourse from July 8-10.
