Lady Gaga Dominates British Radio Over Past 12 MonthsOctober 20, 2010
Lady Gaga was the most played artist on British radio over the last 12 months, it's been announced.
The singer's hits were played 275,000 by DJs through to September, with 'Bad Romance' proving the most popular. The award, which is collated by airplay monitoring body Nielsen Music, was handed out at the Radio Festival in Manchester on Tuesday (October 19). Helena Kosinski, the international marketing manager for Nielsen Music, said: "Lady Gaga has had phenomenal success during 2010, ratcheting up an enormous number of radio plays in the last year." Take That, who have recently reformed with Robbie Williams, took home the award in 2009. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is currently on the latest European leg of her Monster Ball world tour.
