Footage of Lady Gaga on The Sopranos before she became famous has emerged online.

The YouTube video shows the singer making a guest spot on the show when she was 15.

The episode, entitled The Telltale Moozadell, sees Lady Gaga poke fun at Tony Soprano’s son A. J. as he swims in their high school pool out of hours.

The season three episode originally aired in the US on April 22, 2001.

The footage of the star's appearance on the show has proved popular amoung her fans, with one YouTube user praising her "natural acting".

Lady Gaga is currently on the latest North American leg of her Monster Ball world tour, which returns to the UK later this year.
