The album John Lennon signed for Mark Chapman hours before he killed the Beatles star is set to go up for auction. Lennon signed the copy of ‘Double Fantasy’ as he left his home in New York on December 8 1980.

Noah And The Whale have announced details of their new album and 2011 UK and Ireland tour. The album, entitled ‘Last Night On Earth’, is set for release in Spring.

The legendary Rush have announced that they will bring their revered 3-and-a-half hour Time Machine Tour to the UK. The Time Machine Tour will feature some of the band’s classics and for the first time ever in the UK will perform the ‘Moving Pictures’ album in its entirety.

The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys will headline next year’s Benicassim festival in Spain. Primal Scream will also top the bill at the event, which is due to run from July 14-17, 2011. 
Portishead are set to curate a special two-day event for All Tomorrow’s Parties (ATP) in London next summer. The band will headline both days of the festival at Alexandra Palace.
