Singer George Michael has promised to “start again” following his release from prison on Monday (October 11). The former Wham! star was set free from Highpoint prison four weeks into an eight-week sentence for drug driving. 
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has revealed he has personally warned Pete Doherty about his drug use. Richards, whose own relationship with drugs has been well-documented, said he could sympathise with stars like Doherty and Amy Winehouse.
