Professor Green has announced details of a special one-off Christmas gig. The British rapper will play Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on December 15. 
I Am Arrows covered a Tears For Fears song as they played a surprise gig in London last night (August 24). The band, fronted by former Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows, performed to a crowd of around 50 family and friends at The Stag in North London. 
Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has announced details of a new solo album. The record, entitled 'I Feel Like Playing', features twelve new songs and is due to be released on September 27. 
Beatles fans have launched a bid to save drummer Ringo Starr's former Liverpool home from being demolished. Councillors have decided that the property, in Madryn Street, Toxeth, is not worth saving and should be knocked down as past of widespread redevelopment in the area.

Guns N' Roses have extended their upcoming UK arena tour with an additional date in London. The US band will now play the O2 Arena on October 14 as well as the previously announced show the day before (13).

Former Happy Mondays star Bez has been jailed for four weeks for assaulting his ex-girlfriend. The 46-year-old was initially given a community order during an appearance at Manchester Magistrates' Court, but he refused to do it. 
The Libertines will play their first public gig since their split six years ago in London later tonight (August 25). The band will take to the stage at The Forum in Kentish Town at 9.15pm (BST). 
Maximo Park frontman Paul Smith has announced details of a solo UK tour. The eight-date jaunt will begin in Nottingham on November 26, and also includes dates in Birmingham (28) and Manchester (December 2). 
Cee-Lo Green has called the success of his new single 'F*ck You' a “pleasant surprise”. The Gnarls Barkley star released the track, a semi-fictional attack on a former girlfriend, online last week. 
Jay-Z has admitted he would have robbed Coldplay frontman Chris Martin if they had met in the past. The rapper has become close friends with the singer, but said it would have been a different story when he was growing up in Brooklyn's Marcy Projects. 
The cover star of Vampire Weekend's second album 'Contra' has again insisted that she didn't give the band permission to use the photograph. The image of Ann Kirsten Kennis, apparently taken in 1983, was also the main focus of a promotional campaign for the record. 
Bjork has recorded a new song for the forthcoming Moomins 3D movie, Moomins And The Comet Chase. The track, entitled 'The Comet Song', will be released as a digital download on September 6.
