Simon Cowell's charity single for the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti is outselling the rest of the UK top-10 by two to one. The song, a cover of 'Everyody Hurts' by R.E.M., has sold more than 300,000 copies in just four days. 
The Hives and The Gaslight Anthem have been added to the bill for the Hard Rock Calling festival in London. Ben Harper & Relentless7 are also on the bill for the event, which runs from June 25-27 in Hyde Park. 
Michael Jackson's former doctor has resumed work, just days after pleading not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter over the singer’s death. Dr Conrad Murray was bailed for $75,000 - a quarter of the sum prosecutors originally requested – at a court hearing in Los Angeles on Tuesday. 
Manic Street Preachers, Slayer and Bullet For My Valentine have been confirmed for this summer's Bilbao BBK Live festival. Also joining previously confirmed headliners Pearl Jam and Rammstein are Rise Against, Jet, Coheed & Cambria, Capsula and Rise to Fall.

The Killers have cancelled three dates on their Australian tour “due to the severity of the illness of a close family member”. The shows affected were scheduled for Sydney tomorrow (February 12) and two appearances at the Good Vibrations festival this weekend. 
The View are to showcase material from their new album at four intimate UK gigs in March. The band kick off the jaunt in Glasgow on March 1, before calling at venues in Liverpool (2) and Manchester (4). 
Former Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows has announced details of his debut solo show. Burrows and his new band will perform at the Luminaire in Kilburn on March 3 – almost a year to the day since he quit Razorlight.

Staunch vegetarian Leona Lewis has expressed her relief after foie-gras was removed from the menu at The Brit Awards. The French delicacy is essentially the bloated liver of a force-fed duck and is widely derided by animal welfare campaignrs.
