Liam Maher, the singer of early nineties baggy band Flowered Up, has died. Details of his death remain sketchy, but a report from the band's record label confirming the sad news. 
Kanye West was killed off on Twitter yesterday in a hoax that had America hooked. 'RIP Kanye West' is still the top trending topic on the micro-blogging site hours after someone made up an unscrupulous rumour that the rapper had been killed in a car crash.

Robbie Williams performed his first full live show in three years at The Roundhouse in London last night (October 20). The opening night of the BBC's Electric Proms, the former Take That star was more at ease in front of the 3,000 strong crowd than his wide-eyed appearance on the X Factor earlier in the month. 
White Lies have said supporting Kings of Leon on their recent North American tour was better than their past warm-up slots for Coldplay and Snow Patrol. Bassist Charles Cave said the experience of playing with Kings of Leon had been “fantastic” and revealed both groups had grown close on tour. 
Snoop Dogg has said he would like to have a guest part in the vampire TV series True Blood. The rapper, who has name-checked the hit US show on new single 'Gangsta Luv', said he was “down” with the programme. 
Rihanna has unveiled her new album title – 'Rated R' – exactly the same name as Queens Of The Stone Age's seminal record from 2000. Released on November 23 via Def Jam, Rihanna's 'Rated R', seemingly a reference to the movie rating system in the US, features a dizzying amount of guest contributors. 
Chris Brown has announced details of an extensive US tour, which gets under way in Houston on November 14. The 17-date dates will mark Brown's first full tour since he pleaded guilty to assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna. 
Yeasayer have announced details about their second album, which will be entitled 'Odd Blood'. The album, released on February 8, was recorded at studios in Woodstock, New York and New York City.
