Jane's Addiction have been forced to cancel their Australian tour after drummer Stephen Perkins was hospitalised. The sticksman was admitted to the Infectious Disease Ward of the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Saturday after being struck down by a mystery illness. 
Paris Hilton has claimed Michael Jackson named his 11-year-old daughter Paris Katherine after her. The socialite told Extra Jackson, who died last month, had become “best friends” with her mother after the pair went to school together. 
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has written a song for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the movie's director has said. Chris Weitz also revealed at the Comic-Con convention in San Francisco that Bon Iver would feature on the score. 
Amy Winehouse has walked free from court after being cleared of assault. The 25-year-old singer was alleged to have punched dancer Sheren Flash after she asked for an autograph backstage at a Berkeley Square, London charity event last September.

Previously unpublished song lyrics by John Lennon have gone on exhibition for the very first time in Liverpool. The rarely seen lyrics are from Julian Lennon's private collection and will now augment the Beatles Story exhibition 'White Feather: The Spirit of Lennon' which launched earlier this month. 
Jermaine Jackson has described his late brother Michael as a “wonderful humanitarian” who wanted to find the good in everyone. Jermaine told CP in Vienna that Jackson had donated much of the proceeds from his worldwide sell-out tours to charity. 
P Diddy has revealed Michael Jackson made a surprise visit to one of his parties just to meet Beyonce. The rapper spoke about the event during an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last night (July 23).
