The Enemy paid tribute to the former Peugeot workers who were made redundant from the car manufacturer’s Coventry plant as they played the Reading Festival last Friday(August 22nd). Before playing ‘It’s Not OK’, the band’s frontman, Tom Clarke, told the crowd how the song meant the same today as when he wrote it in 2005. 
The Killers closed the second day of the Reading Festival this weekend (August 23rd) – but were dogged by sound problems throughout their set. An army of fans turned out to watch the band make their only UK festival appearance of the year.

The Mystery Jets were forced to cut their set on the Radio 1/NME stage short today at Leeds Festival, prompting guitarist William Rees-Moog to smash up his microphone stand in protest. 
Metallica previewed two tracks from their forthcoming new album, ‘Death Magnetic’, as they closed the Reading Festival last night. Both songs – ‘Cyanide’ and ‘The Day That Never Comes’ – were enthusiastically received during what was an otherwise hit laden set from the American group. 
Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has confirmed that he is to produce material for the Arcitic Monkeys. Homme said the Sheffield band would travel to the Californian dessert next month to “submerge themselves in something else and do some tracks.” 
George Michael told fans in London last night (August 24th) that he plans to release a Christmas single later this year. The singer, who was performing the first of two final concerts at Earls Court, said the song would be available from Christmas Day. 
Iggy Pop injured himself onstage as the Stooges headlined the Get Loaded in the Park festival in London last night (August 24th). Pop wounded his leg after falling awkwardly from a speaker stack on the main stage. 
Amy Winehouse has reportedly been filmed snorting cocaine in a pub in London. The footage, published by the News of the World newspaper, was apparently shot last month, as the singer played a DJ set at the Monarch in Camden.

Snoop Dogg has revealed that he will be launching his own clothing line this week in Las Vegas at The Magic Convention. Dubbed ‘Rich & Infamous’, the line will target males 18-35 and eventually branch out into accessories, home and grooming products as well according to Variety.
