Dizzee Rascal Invites Radio DJ Richard Bacon To Go 'Raving'

May 24, 2010
Dizzee Rascal Invites Radio DJ Richard Bacon To Go 'Raving'Dizzee Rascal invited radio DJ Richard Bacon to accompany him to a rave during an appearance on 5 Live today (May 24).

The rapper persuaded the DJ to join him after Bacon, 34, claimed he was too old to still go clubbing.

The pair were talking about Rascal’s own clubbing experiences in London when the rapper asked to DJ: “What do you like raving to?”

Bacon replied: “I used to go to proper, organised raves twelve [or] thirteen years ago, but it’s so long ago now…”

Rascal then said: “You need to come out raving,” to which the DJ responded: “I’m 34 now. The nearer you get to thirty, the idea of going to a rave...”

Bacon, a former Blue Peter presenter, then tried to suggest that he felt “a bit uncomfortable in those sort of clubs”.

“No, we’ll take you to the right clubs, you’ll be comfortable,” Rascal replied, to which Bacon said: “OK, alright, I’ll do it.”

Rascal was appearing on the radio station to promote his new single, ‘Dirty Disco’, which was released today.

As previously reported, the rapper was among the acts at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Bangor on Saturday.
