Diana Vickers Thanks Fans As She Tops UK Album ChartMay 10, 2010
Diana Vickers has thanked her fans after topping the UK album chart with her debut album, ‘Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree’.
The former X Factor contestant ended Plan B’s reign at the top with ‘The Defamation Of Strictland Banks’, which fell to number two. Vickers posted a picture of herself holding a cake on Twitter, and wrote: “Aaaaah NUMBER 1 ALBUM!! I LOVE YOU GUYS !! Xxxxx”. Elsewhere on the album chart, American country music group Lady Antebellum’s ‘Need You Now’ was the only other new entry at number eight. In the singles countdown, Roll Deep held onto number one for a second week with ‘Good Times’. Pendulum were a new entry at number four with ‘Watercolour’. (by Jason Gregory) See also: |
