JLS Make It X Factor Treble On Singles ChartNovember 9, 2009
JLS have ousted Cheryl Cole from number one on the UK singles chart.
The boy band, who finished second behind Alexandra Burke in last year's X Factor, sold over 100,000 copies of their song 'Everybody In Love' to claim the top spot according to the Official Charts Company. It's the third X Factor affiliated number one in a row with JLS following Alexandra Burke's 'Bad Boys' and Cheryl Cole's 'Fight For This Love'. With Leona Lewis releasing her new single 'Happy' this week it looks highly likely that X Factor will score a chart quadruple. Over on the album chart, Cheryl Cole remained at number one for a second week with '3 Words' fending off competition from Bon Jovi's 'The Circle' which entered at two. Foo Fighters' 'Greatest Hits' entered the album chart at number four. (by Scott Colothan) See also: Kate Nash: 'I Don't Respect The X Factor' (25.01.2011)
