Green Day's UK Arena Shows Could Last Up To Four HoursMay 18, 2009
Green Day's upcoming shows in the UK could last as long as four hours according to frontman Billie Joe Armstrong.
The band are set to play eleven shows across the country in October and Armstrong says they're looking to beat the set lengths of a fellow American. He told Rolling Stone the shows could last "anywhere from two to four hours long. We want to give Springsteen a run for his money. I think his longest show is maybe five hours, I think Green Day's got six!" The singer also explained that the band had been worried ahead of playing the new album during intimate shows around their home city of San Francisco. He revealed: "It was terrifying, especially when you're playing all brand new songs from start to finish. It's kind of like playing your first gig all over again. It's about making your own memories before someone makes them for you." (by Daniel Melia) See also: Green Day American Idiot Musical To Close In April (11.03.2011)
