Chris Brown Says Sorry For Alleged Rihanna Attack

February 16, 2009
Chris Brown Says Sorry For Alleged Rihanna AttackChris Brown has released an official statement apologising for the alleged attack on Rihanna after the pre-Grammy Awards party on February 8.

The 19-year-old singer said he is seeking the counsel of his “pastor, mother and other loved ones” and believes that with “God's help” he will be a better person.

Brown also stated that much of what has been reported in the media about the incident is “wrong” and that all Facebook and blog posts supposedly by himself are “frauds”.

Throughout the brief statement, Brown does not mention Rihanna's name once and referred to the alleged assault as “what transpired”.

It reads:

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person.

Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else.

Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."
