Chris Brown Boycotted By Radio Station, Dropped From Milk Ad

February 11, 2009
Chris Brown Boycotted By Radio Station, Dropped From Milk AdChris Brown's career looks as though it's hitting the buffers following allegations he beat up his girlfriend Rihanna last weekend, with one American radio station refusing to play his records and another ad company ditching him.

Just a day after bosses at gum firm Wrigley announced their plans to temporarily pull an ad campaign featuring the 19-year-old R&B star, the singer's 'Got Milk?' pro-dairy ads have also been dropped.

A statement issued by the Dairy Council reads, "(We are) taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously. We are very proud and protective of the image of the Milk Mustache campaign and the responsible message it sends to teens. Mr. Brown's ad...is scheduled to end this week."

In another blow, Cleveland radio station WAKS FM 96.5, has made the decision to pull all music by Chris from their playlist in the wake of his arrest on Sunday.

The station's program director, Bo Matthews, said in a press release, "It appears that Chris has made some poor choices, we are following the lead of our listeners, and we will not be supporting Chris Brown on 96.5 Kiss FM in Cleveland until the alleged situation gets resolved."
