Amy Winehouse 'Applies To Visit Husband In Prison'January 27, 2009
Amy Winehouse has applied to visit her husband in prison upon her return from her holiday in the Caribbean, according to reports.
The singer is understood to be keen to re-establish her relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil, who opened divorce proceedings against Winehouse earlier this month on the grounds of her alleged infidelity. Fielder-Civil is currently serving a 27-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to assault and perverting the course of justice last July. “Since he began divorce proceedings Amy has decided she wants to try and work things out,” a source told The Sun newspaper. “She has applied to visit him in jail in Britain and if he accepts she will fly back. We will see what is his priority. Amy or her money.” As previously reported, Winehouse's father, Mitch, revealed recently that he broke the news of Fielder-Civil's divorce request to his daughter. Winehouse has been linked to a number of fellow holidaymakers during her five week holiday on the island of St Lucia.
