Trent Reznor Ditches Plans For Nine Inch Nails 3D FilmDecember 5, 2008
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has ditched plans to release a 3D film which documents the band's recent tour.
The film, which had been muted for Cinema and DVD release, was scheduled to be shot using technology developed by film director James Cameron. In a message on the band's website, Reznor indirectly blamed the band's former label, Interscope, for the demise of the project. After approaching the record label, Reznor said he had to wait the “as usual” months before they turned down the pitch. "We then achieved the impossible by finding alternate production / funding but the timetable is too rushed to get it filmed comfortably with the remaining time left on the tour," he added. Meanwhile, Reznor also said that the band's current US tour was “the best thing I've ever been involved with”. But he added that it was “likely the final tour for NIN on this scale.” (by Jason Gregory) See also: White Lies: Nine Inch Nails Influenced Our New Album (11.01.2011)
