The Specials have announced details of a full reunion tour, which will take place next year.

The Coventry band, who split in 1981, will perform in venues in Newcastle, Birmingham and London.

The group first hinted at their plans to reform in May.

The Specials tour dates are:

• Newcastle, Academy - April 22
• Sheffield, Academy - 23
• Birmingham, Academy – 25/26
• Glasgow, Academy - 28
• Manchester, Apollo - May 3
• London, Brixton Academy - 6/7
