Britney Spears: 'My Life Is Like Groundhog Day'

November 18, 2008
Britney Spears: 'My Life Is Like Groundhog Day'Britney Spears has described her life as being “like Groundhog Day” as she prepares to make her pop comeback.

The singer, who releases her new album, 'Circus', on December 1st, has been praised over recent months for repairing her tarnished reputation.

But in a new behind-the-scenes documentary, she claims there is “no excitement” and “no passion” about her return.

“I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out,” she explains.

“But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day.”

In the documentary, Britney: For The Record, Spears also says that she is still having to “pay” for her high profile public problems last year.

Fears were first raised about the singer's health when she shaved her head in a public hair salon. She later lost custody of her two children.

Asked about her life, Spears replied: “I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated.

“When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening. If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I’m having to pay for a long time.

“I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free.”
