November 12, 2008
Justin Timberlake, Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg To Perform On Final TRLJustin Timberlake, Kid Rock and US rapper Snoop Dogg will all perform on the final episode of MTV's Total Request Live this weekend.

Nelly and JC Chasez have also been added to the programme's curtain closer on November 16th.

They join Backstreet Boys, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Mariah Carey and Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst who have all already been confirmed as guests on the show

MTV announced in September that TRL will conclude exactly a ten years after it first aired in September 1998.

As previously reported, MTV announced last month that TRL will conclude exactly a ten years after it first aired in September 1998.

The final show will be presented by the programme's most famous host, Carson Daly.

TRL's executive producer, Dave Sirulnick, has denied that the shows final episode will be its last ever edition, saying MTV is simply giving it “a little bit of a rest for a minute”.

Over the years, TRL has helped launch the careers of a host of presenters and artists, including Britney Spears and Timberlake.

Rapper Eminem has led tributes to TRL, saying last month: “Where else will I be able to start feuds, defend my honour vigorously and act like an angry teenager on national TV?” the rapper said. “Oh wait ... The VMAs!"

At its peak in November 1999, the programme attracted a daily audience of 757,000 viewers.
