Motley Crue: 'Kanye West Will Beat Guns N' Roses To Number One'

November 27, 2008
Motley Crue: 'Kanye West Will Beat Guns N' Roses To Number One'Motley Crue have tipped US rapper Kanye West's new album to beat Guns N' Roses 'Chinese Democracy' to number one in the US.

West's '808s and Heartbreak' is currently outselling Guns N' Roses album, which was released exclusively in Best Buy stores last Sunday (November 23rd).

Motley Crue's singer Vince Neil, a contemporary of the veteran rock group, told MTV he was tipping West to narrowly claim the top spot.

He added: "The thing about Guns N' Roses is, it's not really Guns N' Roses. If Slash and Duff were still in it, I'd be a little more excited.

“Hopefully, it's a good album. I hope it's worth it, because they spent a lot of money and a lot of time on it. I like to record in two weeks, so I never second-guess myself.”

As previously reported, despite huge anticipation ahead of 'Chinese Democracy's' release, the album is currently behind The Killers in the race to top the UK charts on Sunday.

It's thought that the band's decision to preview the record online via their MySpace page last week could have stopped people buying the album.
