Wolfmother is an Australian rock band that formed in Erskineville, Sydney in 2000. Originally a trio comprising vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale, bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett, the band released their debut self-titled album in October 2005, which reached number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart. The album was also a critical success, winning the 2005 J Award and 2006 ARIA Awards for Best Breakthrough Album and Best Rock Album. "Woman", a single from the album, won the band their first Grammy Award, for Best Hard Rock Performance, in 2007.

Wolfmother have cancelled their appearance at three UK festivals due to illness. The band will no longer appear at Download (June 11-13), Hard Rock Calling (June 25-27) and T in the Park (July 9-11). Read more

Wolfmother have contributed a song to the soundtrack to Tim Burton's new movie, Alice In Wonderland. 'Fell Down A Hole' is one of 16 songs on 'Almost Alice', which is released next Monday (March 8). Read more

Wolfmother have announced details of a UK and Ireland tour, which gets under way in Dublin on January 13. The seven-date tour also includes shows in Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester. Read more

The Killers and Wolfmother collaborated on stage during a gig at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre on Sunday (September 6). Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale and Ian Peres joined The Killers for a rendition of 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood'. Read more
