Velvet Revolver Split With Singer Scott WeilandApril 2, 2008
Velvet Revolver have parted company with their lead singer Scott Weiland just days after completing their UK tour.
In a statement, guitarist Slash said that Velvet Revolver “is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either". "Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behaviour and personal problems have forced us to move on.” Weiland had caused confusion during the band’s recent European tour, declaring at one show that it would be the band’s last visit to Europe. The singer was expected to complete his duty with the band last night (April 1st) at a show in Amsterdam. It’s understood that Weiland’s original band Stone Temple Pilots will announce plans to reunite at a press conference in America later this week, reports Billboard.
