Mick Jagger Targets Collaboration With Mary J BligeMarch 19, 2008
Mick Jagger has revealed that R&B star Mary J Blige is the next performer he would like to tick off his “musical wish list”.
Speaking to Maxim Magazine, the Rolling Stones frontman praised Blige’s “vocal style”. "I love Mary J. Blige,” he added. Jagger, who performed a duet alongside Amy Winehouse at the Isle of Wight Festival last summer, also had praise for Christina Aguilera. The American pop star collaborated with the Rolling Stones during their Beacon Theatre performances in New York two years ago. "Christina Aguilera is such a great singer, so I loved that. She was really on it. She delivers," Jagger said. Aguilera’s performance features on Martin Scorsese’s new Rolling Stones documentary, ‘Shine A Light’, which is out in cinemas next month.
