Former Long Blondes singer Kate Jackson has unveiled plans to launch a solo career after the band's demise. Jackson, who wrote music for the group alongside guitarist Dorian Cox, said she had yet to settle on a direction for her material.  Read more 

The Long Blondes have split up after four years together, guitarist Dorian Cox has revealed. Cox said they had been “forced to call it a day” after he suffered a stroke in June. “I do not know when / if I will be well enough to play guitar again,” he added.  Read more 

The Long Blondes have cancelled all their upcoming tour dates after the band's guitarist, Dorian Cox, was rushed into hospital. According to a statement on the band's website, Cox “is still in hospital in Sheffield in a serious condition.”  Read more 

The Long Blondes have been forced to pull out of the Insomniacs Ball, whick takes place later this month. The band, who have had to withdraw because of commitments in the US, will be replaced by Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong.  Read more
