Roxy Music 'To Record New Material'July 19, 2010
Roxy Music have hinted that they might release new material as part of their latest comeback.
The group, fronted Bryan Ferry, headlined Lovebox festival in London on Saturday (July 17), and are due to embark on a UK tour next year. In an interview with BBC 6 Music, they cast doubt over recording a new album, but said they were open to releasing single track downloads. “It's very, very hard to make a convincing record at this stage of your musical journey,” guitarist Phil Manzanera said. “Who wants to listen to albums any more? People listen to the tracks they like. Maybe we should do a track or to and do them as downloads. That will be an interesting approach.” As previously reported, Roxy Music are set to play a host of arena dates next February.
