The Civil Wars Overview

The Civil Wars is an indie folk duo composed of vocalist Joy Williams and guitarist John Paul White. Her first album was "Live at Eddie's Attic" in 2009, "The Poison & Wine EP" followed later that year. The duo partnered up with producer Charlie Peacock to begin recording a full-length album in 2010. The result "Barton Hollow", debuted at No. 1 on iTunes' album sales chart and at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 in February 2011 by selling approximately 25,000 copies its first week out.
