The Beatles Sell 2 Million Songs On iTunesNovember 24, 2010
The Beatles back catalogue has enjoyed sales of over 2 million since it was finally made available on iTunes last Tuesday (November 16).
The Liverpool fab four's music is now on iTunes after years of negotiations between Apple and record companies. The band have sold over 450,000 albums and 2 million singles worldwide, sales figures revealed. ‘Hey Jude’ made it in to the UK top 40 over the weekend with bookies William Hill putting the odds of a complete top-10 made up of Beatles songs at 10/1 before the end of 2011. Meanwhile, Yoko Ono showed her support to this year's X Factor contestants following Saturday's Beatles tribute night.
