Information
Stone Sour is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. Since 2006, the group has been composed of Corey Taylor (lead vocals), Jim Root (lead guitar, backing vocals), Josh Rand (rhythm guitar), Shawn Economaki (bass guitar) and Roy Mayorga (drums, percussion). Original drummer Joel Ekman left the group in 2006. The group formed in 1992, performing for 5 years, before going on hiatus in 1997 when Taylor and Root joined Slipknot. The group reunited in 2002. Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour Announce Co-Headline UK TourJuly 14, 2010 Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour are set to embark on a co-headlining UK tour in the autumn. The two bands will play eleven dates, starting at the SECC in Glasgow on October 26. Read more
Slipknot Offshoot Stone Sour To Release Third Album In AugustJanuary 12, 2010 Stone Sour have started work on their third studio album which they hope to release later in the summer. The rock outfit, featuring Slipknot's Corey Taylor and James Root, are recording the album at the Blackbird Studio in Nashville with acclaimed producer Nick Raskulinecz who they previously worked with on 2006's 'Come What(Ever) May.'
