Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon and Harper Simon will also appear at the gigs, which will be directed by Lennon. Tickets cost between $60 and $150 and are on sale now. Meanwhile, Ono has also organised a series of events in Iceland to mark what would have been her husband John Lennon’s 70th birthday. The celebrations will conclude with a performance by the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band on October 9. Lennon would have turned 70 on October 9. He was shot dead in New York in December 1980.
