Chris Cornell To Replace Robert Plant In Led Zeppelin?November 3, 2008
Chris Cornell has revealed information on the rumors of him possibly filling in for Robert Plant on the proposed Led Zeppelin reunion tour.
"I have not been approached so far to fill in for Robert Plant on the upcoming Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be," states Cornell in a recent interview with MTV News. Cornell has be listed as a possibility to take the place of Plant along with Jack White, Sammy Hagar (formerly of Van Halen), Dave Grohl and Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge as Plant has already stated he would not be a part of the tour. "I've heard that from about 200 people now, and it might be one of those situations where it's just an online rumor or it might be true." Cornell continued. "But if you see anyone from Led Zeppelin around, let me know. I think I should actually fill in for Jimmy Page on the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss tour." Steven Tyler has also been listed as a likely candidate, joining the band for a jam session recently, which was claimed to be “for fun”.
