Simple Plan’s Chuck Corneau had confided to Gigwise that Simple Plan’s latest single, ‘Your Love is a Lie’ is about his relationship break up and more specifically about Corneau's cheating ex-girlfriend. Speaking to Gigwise at the Download Festival, the drummer said: “It’s a song about falling in love with someone and being surprised and very disappointed that they’d do something like that to you when you give them your heart.  Read more 

Simple Plan’s guitarist Jeff Stinco was notably absent from Simple Plan’s Download set on Friday (June 13th). He grabbed a last minute flight back to Canada for ‘personal reasons’. The band was keen to fulfil their commitments and play the metal festival, but struggled on stage without the aid of their much loved lead guitarist.  Read more 

Simple Plan have admitted that they are inspired by the ambitions of bands like Fall Out Boy, Green Day and My Chemical Romance. Speaking to Gigwise, the Canadian rockers say that although they are not directly influenced by such bands, the three bands’ latest records did help shape Simple Plan’s eponymous third album.  Read more
