The Charlatans' Jon Brookes Diagnosed With Brain TumourSeptember 22, 2010
The Charlatans drummer Jon Brookes has been diagnosed with a brain tumour, the band have confirmed.
Brookes is currently undergoing treatment in the UK after he was flown home from the band's US tour last week. The drummer collapsed and stopped breathing during a gig in Philadelhpia on September 15. He initially underwent treatment in the US before returning to the UK. In a statemnt, The Charlatans said: “The band and Jon would like to thank all well wishers for their kind messages of support.” Meanwhile, the group's touring schedule remains unaltered while the band arrange for a short term replacement.
