R.E.M. New Album To Feature Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Patti Smith, PeachesNovember 4, 2010
R.E.M. star Mike Mills has revealed that the band's new album will feature a star-studded list of special guests.
'Collapse Into Now', which is due out in early 2011, includes Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Patti Smith and Peaches. In an interview with Spin, Mills said the album was “more expansive” than its predecessor, 2008's 'Accelerate'. He also revealed that the 12-track album, produced by Jacknife Lee, was a “very personal, very human record”. 'Accelerate' topped the the UK album chart and debuted at number two on the US Billboard countdown two years ago.
