Thom Yorke: ''In Rainbows' Honesty Box Was A One Off'April 30, 2008
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has said that band won’t release another album which allows fans to name what price they pay for it.
Yorke said that the group’s latest album ‘In Rainbows’, which was initially made available via an “honesty-box” format, was a “one-off response to a particular situation". "It was one of those things where we were in the position of everyone asking us what we were going to do," Yorke told the Hollywood Reporter. "I don't think it would have the same significance now anyway, if we chose to give something away again." Yorke described the album as “a moment in time”. ‘In Rainbows’ went on to top the charts in the UK and America when it was released on traditional formats at the beginning of the year. As we reported earlier, the band have just filmed a new video for ‘In Rainbows’ track ‘All I Need’ which forms part of a human trafficking campaign.
