Radiohead's Thom Yorke Releases New Song To Mark Barack Obama Election WinNovember 6, 2008
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has posted a special remix on the band's website to celebrate “a new era in politics in the USA”.
The song, a remix of 'Harrowdown Hill' from Yorke's solo album 'The Eraser', is available as a free download. Yorke wrote: “In celebration of nov 5th, Jonny's [Greenwood, Radiohead's guitarist] burthday (sic), amid bonfire and fireworks in the UK and the dawn of a new era in politics in the USA. “I humbly donate a remix of 'Harrowdown Hill' that was finished ages ago during the band webcasts. A small reminder of the dark days of Bush's....” Yorke joins a long list of musicians who have already voiced their delight at Mr Obama's success in the US election on Tuesday (November 4th).
