Placebo are an alternative rock band formed in London in 1994, currently consisting of Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and Steve Forrest. To date, they have released six studio albums, six EPs and twenty-nine singles. The band have gained a considerable amount of international recognition, selling over one million albums in the UK and over ten million worldwide.

Brian Molko, vocalist and guitarist of Placebo, collapsed on stage whilst the band were playing a set on Sunday at Japan's 'Summer Sonic' festival. A virus and jet lag were blamed by the band in a statement that was published earlier on their website.  Read more

Placebo stormed off stage at RockNess Festival in Scotland last night after a reveller allegedly threw a pair of scissors at them.
