Pete Doherty Charged With Cocaine Possession

Pete Doherty is one of three men to be charged with drug possession following an inquiry into the death of an heiress film-maker at a house in East London.

Robin Whitehead, 27, was found dead at a flat in Hackney in January.

Doherty was charged with one count of possession of cocaine, while Peter Wolfe was charged with possessing and supplying the drug.

Another man, Alan Wass – a friend of Doherty's – was charged with possession. All three men are due to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on October 18, reports BBC News.

Whitehead, an amateur film-maker, had been shooting a documentary, The Road The Albion, about the singer and The Libertines.

She was the granddaughter of Teddy Goldsmith, who founded The Ecologist magazine.
