Pete Doherty's Manager Jailed For A Year For Hit and Run

Pete Doherty's manager Andrew Boyd has been jailed for a year after leaving a man brain damaged in a hit and run incident.

42-year-old Chris Corder (pictured) still remains in a coma after being run over by Boyd while he was delivering church newsletters in Hadleigh in September 2009.

Ipswich Crown Court heard that the incident happened when Boyd turned around in his car to comfort his four-year-old son, however, he drove away after hitting Corder.

Boyd yesterday admitted failing to stop at an accident scene after previously admitting dangerous driving and was ordered to serve twelve months behind bars.

Mr Corder's sister, Jennie, slammed the sentence handed out by the judge.

"I really would have liked him to get a longer sentence,” she said. “Six months of somebody's life is nothing compared to what my brother is going to have to live through and what we are going to live through.

"My parents might never see my brother awake again and that's a horrible thought. I do not think that man has any remorse."
