Per Gessle Overview

Per Håkan Gessle (Swedish pronunciation: [pɛːr ˈɡɛslɛ]; born 12 January 1959 in Halmstad) is a Swedish pop singer-songwriter, guitarist, and harmonica player. He is the lead singer of the Swedish pop group Gyllene Tider and formed Roxette with Marie Fredriksson (being the chief songwriter in both bands). With Fredriksson's illness in 2002, he went back to recording and became a successful solo artist in native Sweden, selling multi-platinum albums.
