Information
Pavement is an American alternative rock band. In their career they achieved a significant cult following and they were called the best band of the 90s by prominent music critics Robert Christgau and Stephen Thomas Erlewine. Though only briefly brushing the mainstream with the single "Cut Your Hair" in 1994, Pavement were one of the most successful and influential indie rock bands of their era. Rather than signing with a major label as many of their 1980s forebears had done, they remained signed to independent labels throughout their career. Albums

Pavement Won't Write New Material AgainJanuary 28, 2011 Pavement’s Bob Nastanovich has ruled out the chances of the band recording new material again. The multi-instrumentalist told Spin magazine that singer Stephen Malkmus was not interested in writing any new songs. Read more

Pavement Announce New London Date, Full European TourDecember 1, 2009 Pavement have added a fourth date to their residency at London's Brixton Academy next May.
